Botulinumtoxin (Botox ® ) Ist ein Nervengift, das in niedrigster Dosierung Anwendung in verschiedenen Bereichen der Medizin, wie z.B. zur Behandlung von Drangsymptomatik, Dranginkontinenz und der überaktiven Blase sowie von nervenbedingten Blasenentleerungsstörungen findet. Es wird bei einem ambulanten oder kurzstationären Eingriff an verschiedenen Stellen in der Blasenmuskulatur injiziert. Der Eingriff dauert nur wenige Minuten und der Patient kann einige Stunden danach nach Hause entlassen werden.
